Walthers announces the arrival of the sixth of ten authentic HO Scale Milwaukee Road cars, Express Car Version 2 #1317-1329. Based on equipment from the 1955 Twin Cities Hiawatha, these new cars are being produced especially for Walthers 75th Anniversary.

Fast Facts: Milwaukee Road's fast moving Hiawathas provided speedy service for both passengers and packages. And, as passenger use declined it was the mail and express business that helped pay the bills. During the 1947 retrofit, two versions of express cars were built, one with a conductor's office and extra window, and Version 2 cars numbered #1317-1329 without the office. The cars served on the Hiawatha until they were dropped into pool service in later years.

Features: This superbly detailed car is equipped with factory-installed electrical pickups, diecast knuckle couplers and correct eight-foot wheelbase Nystrom trucks with RP-25 wheels. It is handsomely painted in Milwaukee's distinctive maroon and orange colors and comes complete with number decals. The car features the correct prototype length and underbody detail so a minimum 24" radius is recommended for operation.
