Walthers announces the Sanding Towers & Drying House kit, a new addition to its Cornerstone Series® N Scale line. This easy-to-build plastic kit complements other Cornerstone Series N Scale locomotive servicing models.

Fast Facts: Since the earliest days of railroading, engines have carried a supply of dry sand to improve traction when hauling heavy trains or running on slippery rails. The Sanding Towers & Drying House kit is typical of steam-era facilities that remained in use long after diesels took over.

Features: The detailed model is complete with a brick drying house, outdoor storage bin and air piping, as well as two styles of sand tower for modelers of different eras. For steam fans, a smaller, single-track tower is included, while a larger double-track version is provided for late steam and diesel modelers.
