A stock model weighed 360,000 pounds, but many roads chose to add weight to increase the locomotive's tractive effort. From the mid-1960s through the 1980s, the SD35 could be found in road service on both large and mid-sized roads across the US and a few remained in service into the 21st century. This detailed model features a low or high nose as appropriate, accurate decoration and roadname-specific detailing. It also features a five-pole, skew-wound motor with dual flywheels, directional LED lighting, Accumate(R) magnetic knuckle couplers, accurate decoration and other roadname-appropriate body details.
