MLW S13 - Standard DC -- BC Rail #1002 (2-Tone Green, white, yellow)

The Rapido Trains HO Scale MLW S13 is based on units introduced by Montreal Locomotive Works in 1959. British Columbia Railway (formerly PGE) received the first three MLW S-13s January 1959. Canadian National was the largest owner of S-13s, rostering 49 units with the first also arriving in 1959. All BCOL and Cn units rode on AAR switcher trucks. Of these, 26 were assigned to hump service in sets of three units. These were a variety of paint schemes for both BCR and CN before being retired or sold to short lines. This Rapido model features railroad-specific details, appropriate lighting packages and Rapido semi-scale knuckle couplers on both ends. The smooth-running drive features a five-pole motor with dual flywheels, backed up with the MoPower capacitor system for uninterrupted operation. This standard DC model is DCC ready with a 21-pin interface in the locomotive for easy conversion. The MLW S13 is part of the line of Rapido Trains HO Scale locomotives.
