Based on a Baltimore and Ohio prototype (and easily adapted to similar structures on other railroads), buildings of this type housed the pumps, boilers and fuel supplies needed to keep water tanks filled, as well as maintaining water supplies at yards, industries and smaller towns.
The kit conists of laser-cut basswood walls, peel-and-stick roofing, doors and windows, along with the roof ridge and smokejack. Complete instructions and drawings are also provided.
