40' Stock Car -- Armour Stock Express, Braced Wood Ends

Roll livestock to market in these new and improved cars, now featuring separate letter boards. Stock cars are an essential part of the traffic on any layout set before 1960. Since the basic design remained in service for decades, these cars are also right at home behind your favorite steam or first-generation diesel power. Adding a priority stock train will generate some interesting challenges for an operating session. In addition to a train of stock cars, you'll need a drover's caboose or older passenger car at the rear. These cars provide accommodations for cowboys accompanying a shipment to market. These models feature authentic slatted sides and are available with braced wood or dreadnaught ends. You'll want several stock cars to service the Cornerstone Series(R) Stock Yard (933-3047) and Champion Packing Co. (933-3048) And with their open sides, these cars can be detailed with a load of animal figures, like Walthers Hereford Cows (933-3143).
