52' 2" Riveted Steel Express Reefer w/Plug Door -- Railway Express Agency #6116 (dark green ends & stripes, Aluminum, gold)

These ready-to-run cars feature prepainted and lettered, injection-molded styrene bodies. Models include free-rolling Delrin(R) express trucks with contoured axles, truck-mounted Magne-Matic(R) couplers and diecast metal underframes. The American Car & Foundry built this 52' 2" riveted steel express reefer with plug door in January 1948 at their Chicago, Illinois plant. It is painted dark green with aluminum roof and ends and has aluminum and red bands and Dulux gold lettering.
