Brass Sides - Great Northern "Empire Builder" -- "Pass" Series 8-4-4 Sleeper GN/CB&Q/SP&S

The "Pass" series consisted of 12 cars assigned to the "Empire Builder" that were built by Pullman-Standard in 1947 and 1950 to Plan 4107. These were owned, named and numbered as follows: GN 1160 Gunsight Pass, GN 1161 Ptarmigan Pass, GN 1162 Dawson Pass, GN 1163 Piegan Pass, GN 1164 Logan Pass, GN 1165 Triple Divide, GN 1966 Lincoln Pass, CB&Q 1167 Cut Bank Pass, CB&Q 1168 Red Gap Pass, GN 1169 Swift Current Pass, GN 1180 Stevens Pass and SP&S 700 Indian Pass. When the "Empire Builder" was re-equipped in 1951 these cars were assigned to the new "Western Star." These sides include the original full skirting, which can be removed to model the cars in later years. They're sized to match Walthers "Empire Builder" sleeping car bodies or the #173-101 Basic Body Kit, both sold separately.
