Business Car Observation UP #101 - Ready to Run -- Union Pacific #101 "Lincoln" (Armour Yellow, gray, red; Big Boy Tour Drumhead)

The Broadway Limited HO Scale Business Car Observation is based on Union Pacific Car #101, known today as "Lincoln." This unique car has been a familiar sight in UP{s excursion consists across the system including on the Big Boy Tour and numerous officer specials. The car was originally built in 1950 by Pullman-Standard as coach No. 5447 and was originally named Pocatello, after Shoshone tribal Chief Pocatello, and retained that name until 2001. That year, it underwent a major interior overhaul, receiving brand-new wood furnishings. Following the refurbishment, it was renamed "Lone Star" in recognition of UP's operations in Texas, the Lone Star State. In 2020, the car underwent another interior transformation, receiving a refreshed design and a the new name "Lincoln" to honor President Abraham Lincoln, who signed the Pacific Railway Act, leading to the creation of Union Pacific.
