The Rapido Trains HO Scale Class H-6 4-6-0 "Ten Wheeler" is an accurate model of the light, general-purpose locomotives perfectly suited to freight or passenger work across the entire Canadian National (CNR) system. Originally built for the Canadian Northern Railway, CNR's H-6 class 4-6-0, could be found in all kinds of light freight and passenger service and lasted until the end of CN steam service in the late 1950s. Over the years, several modifications were made to the H-6 which created some visually distinct locomotives in several subclasses. These include but are not limited to installing new steel cabs to replace the original wooden ones, conversion of part of the fleet from coal to oil fired, and wooden extensions to the tender bunker for those units that continued using coal.
