Diesel EMD F7 A-B-A Set Powered with AC/DC Sound -- Great Northern

In 1949, EMD delivered the first of thousands of F7As and F7Bs. These 1500-horsepower locomotives soon became the standard freight power for many railroads. The new Showcase Line Phase 1 F-7s are replicas of these popular locomotives. Details on these ready-to-run units include etched stainless steel Farr grills; Locomatic AC/DC sound units with horn, bell, prime mover and compressor sounds; full interior with hand painted 2 man crew; formed wire grab irons and lift rings; illuminated headlight and numberboards; turned brass horns; and see-through low fan shrouds with movable fan blades. All units, including B units, are powered and feature five-pole motors with dual flywheels; die-cast frames and gear boxes; AF-compatible steel wheels and couplers; and eight wheel electrical pickup. Models include NMRA RP25 wheelsets for operation on Code 110 rail, mounting screws for KD #802 couplers and parts for conversion to either DC, or DCC (digital command control) operation.
