Diesel EMD GP38 w/High Hood - Powered, No Decoder -- Southern - Painted, No Unit Number

Modeled after Electro Motive Division's 2000 horsepower GP38 diesel introduced in the 1960s and still in service today throughout North America. Atlas GP38 features a dual-flywheel-equipped five-pole skewed armature motor with a low friction mechanism, directional headlights, painted safety rails, blackened metal wheels AccuMate(R) knuckle couplers, and high or low short hood and dynamic brake details as appropriate for each roadname. Unit includes a factory-installed DCC decoder.
