Diesel GP7 Powered -- Union Pacific (yellow, gray, red)

Beginning with Alco's RS-2 in the late 1940s and EMD GP7 and GP9 a few years later, "road switchers" became the most common type of diesel. Also called "hood units," they featured outside walkways and improved visibility for crews doing watching.
