EMD GP40 Low Nose w/Dynamic Brakes - Standard DC -- New York Central #3014 (black, white)

This detailed Atlas Master Silver EMD GP40 with Dynamic Brakes diesel locomotive is based on the popular 3,000-horsepower road units introduced in the late 1960s. Production of these popular diesels ran through the early 1970s when they were succeeded by the GP40-2. Many of the GP40 carbody units are still in service in 2018, although often their interior components may have been rebuilt or upgraded. This unit is based on diesels equipped with dynamic brakes complete with center bulge and extra rooftop fan. This scale EMD GP40 replica comes equipped with a replaceable lighting board to facilitate conversion to DCC and sound when you're ready. Other features of the EMD GP40 include a Scale Speed(TM) motor with dual flywheels, directional golden-white LED lighting and AccuMate(R) magnetic knuckle couplers.
