EMD GP40 Low Nose with Dynamic Brakes - LokSound and DCC - Gold -- Helm Leasing HLCX 4225 (red, white, yellow Conspicuity Marks)

This detailed Atlas Master Gold EMD GP40 with Dynamic Brakes diesel locomotive is based on the popular 3,000-horsepower road units introduced in the late 1960s. Production of these popular diesels ran through the early 1970s when they were succeeded by the GP40-2. Many of the GP40 carbody units are still in service in 2018, although often their interior components may have been rebuilt or upgraded. This unit is based on diesels equipped with dynamic brakes complete with center bulge and extra rooftop fan. This EMD GP40 scale replica comes equipped with a dual-mode ESU LokSound Select sound and DCC dual-mode decoder for operation on DCC and DC layouts, and features a Scale Speed(TM) motor with dual flywheels, directional LED lighting and AccuMate(R) magnetic knuckle couplers.
