EMD GP40 with Ditch Lights - LokSound and DCC - Master(R) Gold -- Operation Lifesaver 50th Anniversary (gold)

This detailed Atlas Master Gold EMD GP40 Low Nose, No Dynamic Brakes diesel locomotive is based on the popular 3,000-horsepower road units introduced in the late 1960s. Production of these popular diesels ran through the early 1970s when they were succeeded by the GP40-2. Many of the GP40 carbody units are still in service in 2018, although often their interior components may have been rebuilt or upgraded. This EMD GP40 N Scale replica comes equipped with a dual-mode ESU LokSound Select sound and DCC dual-mode decoder for operation on DCC and DC layouts, and features a Scale Speed(TM) motor with dual flywheels, directional LED lighting and AccuMate(R) magnetic knuckle couplers.
