EMD SD40-2 - Sound and DCC - Paragon3 -- Canadian National IC #6106 (black, red, white; Website, Noodle Logo)

The new Broadway Limited EMD SD40-2 with sound and DCC is based on one of the most popular diesels ever built. Introduced in the 1970s, reliable SD40-2s became the workhorse diesels used for everything from hauling 10,000-ton coal drags to short, fast intermodal trains. This diesel features full Paragon3 sound and DCC for realistic sound and motor control. The Paragon3 sound system works with all Broadway Limited Rolling Thunder advanced sound systems. Other features of this diesel locomotive include a heavy die cast chassis, smooth-running flywheel-equipped drive, directional lighting and magnetic knuckle couplers. The N Scale EMD SD40-2 can be operated on all DCC systems as well as on standard DC railroads (with limited sound functionality). It has wheels profiled to operate on Code 55 and larger rail and curves of 9-3/4" radius and larger are recommended.
