The "Lindbergh Special" earned the name when it delivered a newsreel, developed in a converted baggage car, from Washington D.C. to New York City, and had it playing at Broadway theaters an hour before any other news agency even made it to New York City. The film was of a celebration of Lindbergh's non-stop solo flight across the Atlantic, held in Washington D.C.
