Carrying infantry into action is only one job for the Bradley family of Armored Personnel Carriers (APC). The M2 Infantry Fighting Vehicle provides room to transport a squad of six, while the almost identical M3 Cavalry Fighting Vehicle is designed as a mobile, armored scout. All units are equipped with a 25mm chain gun and 7.62mm machine gun to destroy enemy vehicles and provide covering fire for infantry operations. In addition, a pair of TOW anti-tank weapons are carried in a special launcher on the left side of the turret as well. Although designed to keep up with the Abrams tanks on the battle field, its smaller size and lighter weight allow the Bradley to be moved easily by air, road or rail as needed.
