Product Information

This detailed, ready-to-run Atlas Master HO Scale NSC 5277 50' Plug-Door Boxcar is based on over 1,000 cars built between 1975 to 1980 by National Steel Car in Hamilton, Ontario. Most of the 100-ton cars went to Canadian railroads primarily for paper service. Two hundred 70-ton cars went into food service for the Grand Trunk Western. This model features roadname-appropriate 5277 or 5111 body styles, door styles, and end styles, as well as applied wire grab irons, blackened metal wheels and metal knuckle couplers. Minimum 22" radius curves are recommended for this model. This boxcar is a must-have for any model railroader focused on North American railroads between the late 1970s and present day. The NSC 5277 50' Plug-Door Boxcar is one of many Atlas HO Scale boxcars.
