O.L. King & Sons Coal Yard -- Kit

Back when coal was king, the local coal yard was one of the most important businesses in any city. Dealers would receive hoppers of coal direct from the mines and deliver small loads by truck or wagon to heat homes, stores and small industries. Typical of coal facilities built from the 1920s on, O.L. King & Sons includes a main office building, unloading trestle, shed, storage bins, coal conveyors, fencing and window "glass." For more modern operations, the structure can be converted to a lumber yard or other small industry.
