PROTO 2000 Diesel PA Powered -- DRGW #6013 4 Stripe silver and gold w/Mars Light and Dynamic Brakes

Introduced in 1946, the Alco PA-1 arrived as railroads were re-equipping their post-war passenger service. Handling some of the most prestigious trains in the country, they were finished in striking color schemes that complimented the rugged styling. A total of 170 were built before a more powerful version was unveiled in 1950. These detailed HO Scale models are faithful replicas of these distinctive prototypes. Each model includes road-specific details, such as Mars light, single or dual headlights, dynamic brakes and straight or 45-degree numberboards, to match the original order. A five-pole, skew wound motor, all-wheel electric pick-up and a heavy diecast frame insure realistic speed with smooth pulling performance. The PA is DCC-ready with an NMRA standard compatible plug. Proto 2000 knuckle couplers are also included. (Matching PB (cabless booster units) are available separately for many roads.)
