Wood Caboose - Kit (Laser-Cut Wood) -- Missouri Pacific Drover's Car w/LCL Side Door

In 1930, the Missouri Pacific ordered 20 drover cabooses, series 1100-1119 from St. Louis Car Company (order number 1534). Besides their normal freight train duties, these cars had seating and sleeping space for men accompanying cattle shipped on the MP. Measuring 42 feet over the coupler pulling faces, the cars were longer than standard MP cabooses. As the need for drover cabooses declined, several were modified during WWII for less-than-carload (LCL) service, and hauled small shipments and express on branch and secondary lines. All were off the roster by 1965. This kit is based on converted car #1112.
