The Viessmann HO Scale Plasser & Theurer Unimat 09-4x4 - 4S E Tamper is based on the newly developed ballast processing machine from Plasser & Theurer has two drive types - electric and diesel-electric (hybrid) - via a 600 kW diesel engine for power generation. The traction motors and the hydraulics are always driven electrically. The electric drive enables low-maintenance, low-noise and low-emission operation (CO2 reduced). This detailed working model operates either in running or in working mode when driving forward at approx. 3 kmh with vertically and horizontally moving tamping unit. It also features a motorized pantograph, various light functions, all controlled with a digital sound and control decoder fur use on DCC, MM and standard DC and RailCom. The tamping unit is synchronized with the drive motors and the sound. Equipped with European hook-and-loop NEM 362 and enclosed system coupling.
