From 1991 to 2024, the RoadRailer was one of the most unique forms of intermodal transportation in North America. Consisting of truck trailers with interchangable rail bogies, RoadRailers coule be found in unit trains on Conrail and Norfolk Southern, as well as briefly in service with Amtrak. These models of RoadRailer trailers from Bowser depict these unique pieces of rolling stock as they appeared over the course of their careers with various owners, including Conrail, Norfolk Southern, Schneider, Swift, and Triple Crown, by far the largest owner and user of the concept.
