Theater Track Inspection Car - Ready to Run -- Santa Fe #89 (1982-1990, stainless)

The Broadway Limited HO Scale Theater Track Inspection Car is based on the car modified by the Santa Fe. The William Barstow Strong began its life as Coach Bar Lounge Car #1397 before being rebuilt as a Track Inspection Car. In 1975, it was renamed William Barstow Strong in honor of the former president of the Santa Fe. After the 1995 merger with Burlington Northern, the car received several exterior and interior updates and was renumbered from #89 to #32. Today, the William Barstow Strong remains in service with BNSF Railway, continuing its legacy by transporting company executives across the railroad's vast system. Each car features era-appropriate details and is equipped with individually controllable lighting, including operational ditch lights, marker lights, spotlights, and interior lighting, offering an authentic, lifelike display. Other features include a detailed and decorated interior, accurate underbody components, and precisely replicated roof details. The Theater Track Inspection Car is one of many detailed Broadway Limited HO Scale passenger cars.
