USRA 2-8-2 Heavy Mikado - Sound and DCC - Paragon4™ -- Milwaukee Road #337 (black, graphite, red, CMStP&P Logo)

This N Scale Paragon4 USRA 2-8-2 Heavy Mikado from Broadway Limited is ideal for your steam-era layout! There were 233 original USRA Heavy 2-8-2s built plus another 957 copies, covering 23 railroads. The Heavy Mikado was an extremely successful design. The USRA Heavy Mikados used pretty much the same running gear as the Light Miks, but the boilers were 10 inches larger in diameter and they had larger cylinders as well. Tractive effort was about 10% higher for the heavy 2-8-2s. This steam locomotive is equipped with the Paragon4 sound system which works with all Broadway Limited Rolling Thunder(TM) advanced sound systems. Other features of this locomotive include a heavy die cast chassis, smooth-running flywheel-equipped drive, directional lighting and magnetic knuckle couplers. It can be operated on all DCC systems as well as on standard DC railroads (with limited sound functionality). It has wheels profiled to operate on Code 55 and larger rail and curves of 9-3/4" radius and larger are recommended. The USRA 2-8-2 Heavy Mikado is part of the extensive line of Broadway Limited N Scale locomotives.
